With Upswing, you see your finished website before you pay a cent. That is the whole model, and it means a refund is rare by design. Still, you should know exactly where you stand. Here is the full policy, in plain language.
The 30-day refund
Every Upswing plan comes with a 30-day no-pitch refund. If you are within the first 30 days of your subscription and the site does not pass the gut test, the simple test of holding it in your hand and feeling good about it, we will refund what you have paid.
No pitch to stay. No survey. No friction. You email us, we confirm, we issue the refund.
To request it, email sage@upswingfast.com from the email address on your account, with your business name. We confirm receipt within one business day and return the refund to your original payment method. The window covers the first 30 days of your subscription. After that, the cancellation terms below apply.
Cancelling after the first 30 days
No contracts. You can cancel any time. Here is how it works.
- Email sage@upswingfast.com from the email address on your account. A text is fine to start the conversation, but the 30-day notice does not begin until your request is in writing by email.
- We confirm receipt within one business day and tell you your final billing date.
- A 30-day notice period begins the day we receive your email. You are billed once more, for that final 30-day period, at your normal rate. There are no partial-month refunds.
- Your site stays fully live the entire time, right through the end of that final period.
- At the end of the final period, the site comes down from the public web. We keep your site, your content, and your domain indefinitely, ready to put back online if you ever return.
Annual plans
Annual plans are paid up front for the year. The 30-day refund above still applies during your first 30 days. After that, the annual fee is not refundable for unused months, and your service continues in full through the end of the twelfth month.
Missed or failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically for three business days. We would much rather fix a card issue than lose you, so reach out any time at sage@upswingfast.com.
- Days 4 to 7 with no resolution: your site moves to maintenance mode, visible to you but not the public.
- Days 8 to 30: the site is taken offline and the subscription is paused. Your data is kept safe.
- Day 30 and beyond: the subscription is treated as cancelled, and the standard cancellation terms apply, including indefinite retention of your content.
Coming back
There is no reactivation fee, ever. If you cancel and later want to return, it is a single click on our end. You re-subscribe at the current rate, and we redeploy your original site from the content we kept, with any updates you want made. You can leave and come back as many times as you like.
Taking your site with you
If you want to leave Upswing entirely and own your website outright, there is a one-time buyout of $2,500. The buyout includes a complete copy of your website (all code, images, and content), transfer of your domain to a registrar account you choose, and transfer of your Google Analytics property.
After a buyout, the site is fully yours, and so is everything that comes with it: hosting, updates, security, and domain renewals. Upswing steps away entirely. The website and the domain transfer together as one package; the domain is not sold separately.
To start a buyout, email sage@upswingfast.com.
